One of the perks of living on the Gulf Coast is the abundance of beaches that we can go to. In order to get the perfect Beach Senior Session the options are endless. Abby and I decided on Honeymoon Island State Park in Dunedin Florida for her senior session. This is one of my favorite places to have a beach shoot. Not only is there a variety of locations on beach to shoot at but the greenery around the parking lot make for variety in your senior gallery.

Abby and I had to reschedule her original session and to be honest I was a bit nervous that the new date was going to get rained out. The skies all around us were ominous. We choose a section of the beach that was still bright and had the perfect light for the bulk of her session. Also, since the weather was a bit iffy, we were blessed to have the whole beach practically to ourselves. BONUS for a senior photographer. It means less editing out random people from your photos. Noone wants to see that!

Beach Senior Session – Epic Shots

I want to thank the park ranger at Honeymoon Island for warning us about the possibility of seeing snakes while we were in the field. We in fact did NOT see or hear any of the slimy little buggers so I call this session the ultimate win!

These were the last two shots we took as we were running to the car to beat the rain that was coming. We were practically blown away when we were near the water. The wind and rain was threatening all session long and boy oh boy did come on strong!
