When an opportunity to shoot at Tampa Garden Club arises… you say YES!!!!
I received a message from a neighbor/client on Tuesday the 24th asking if I was available to shoot a wedding five days later. Her coworker’s daughter was in need. My first reaction was huh? Five days? Who in the heck gets to five days before their wedding and doesn’t have a photographer? Never one to shy away from a challenge I reached out to the parents of the bride. They explained that their original photographer, who is a family member, had to back out. They were supposed to travel from Puerto Rico but because of Covid could not make the trip. So, poor Sophia and Marco were out a photographer. That just can’t happen. Covid not only left them without a photographer, but this was a rescheduled date.
I am honored to have been chosen to capture their love in pictures. Sophia and Marco are truly the most adorable couple I have laid eyes on. He serves our country with honor and looks at his bride like the princess that she is. She looks at him like he hung the moon. They giggle, they loved it when I said now go in for a kiss. Believe that was Marco’s favorite part of the day! They were surrounded by the best family and friends who made their day extra special.
The entire day was magical. Between the perfect weather, the perfect venue, the gorgeous colors of her bridesmaid’s dresses, I was truly in photographer heaven!!!
In the words of Sophia’s mom, Sophia is simple and the light of her parents life. She chose a beautiful laced dress and paired it with a gorgeous veil. Mom and Dad were instrumental in planning the big day at the Tampa Garden Club in Tampa Florida. Sophia and Marco now live in Maryland so planning was left to her parents. And let me tell you. They knocked it out of the park. Dad made the arch used during their ceremony, mom was on top of every detail. You could see the pride in their eyes as they watched their baby girl pledge her love to her new husband. When Sophia thanked her parents for everything that they did for them, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.
Sophia and Marco, I wish you all the best as you continue to love and honor each other. Keep your love for each other at the forefront of everything you do. Be there for each other at all times. Laugh and be silly. Stay strong through the tough times, work together to get through them. You have such a strong family unit to look to for inspiration. I can’t tell you how honored I am to have been just a small part of your day.
Love always,
Suzie
